After scoring a game-high 28 points against Morrow, Alcovy guard Cameron Banks has been named the Alcovy Athlete of the Week.

Banks led the Tigers in scoring in a losing effot against the Mustangs on Jan. 21.

Against Morrow, Banks drained back-to-back 3-pointers in the second quarter, cutting Morrow's lead to 33-27.

Banks closed the game with 12 points in the fourth quarter, but the Tigers dropped a 97-65 decision to the Mustangs.

The Tigers have been out of action the past week due to inclement weather, but Alcovy returns to the court Tuesday on the road against rival Rockdale County.

The Tigers close their home season against Luella and Lovejoy.

The Tigers take on region leader Luella on Feb. 7 at 6 p.m.

Alcovy and Lovejoy have yet to set a make -up date for their previously scheduled contest that was postponed due to weather concerns.

The Tigers are 2-18 overall and 2-7 in Region 2-AAAAAA.
