Alcovy, once again, was successful in the semifinals, defeating Luella 3-2 to earn a spot in the 2-AAAAAA championship and get a top two seed in the state playoffs.
Anderson had the biggest match of the second round, winning in three sets, 6-7 (5-7), 6-2, 7-5, which lasted over three hours. Gammans won again in No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-3 and Hexom/Godwin were the Tigers only doubles winners, 6-0, 6-1.
Rockdale beat Alcovy for the Region 2-AAAAAA championship, 3-0 but the Tigers accomplished more than they had in any previous region tournament.
