The Kimberley Chance Atkins Foundation's 4th annual Walk with Angels is calling all walkers to get outside and enjoy spring weather and support a worthy cause in the process.

The eight mile walk-a-thon on Saturday, March 29, starts 8 a.m. at the Olde Town Pavilion. Grab your friends and family to form a team or step out on your own to honor the memory of someone who experienced breast cancer or to celebrate those who are fighting and surviving.

The mile markers for each of the eight miles on this trek represent the qualities required in the fight against cancer: Strength, Hope, Courage, Determination, Faith, Wisdom, Love and Support, and Bravery. Walkers will be empowered passing each mile and finally crossing the finish line.

To sign up, visit the KCAF website - www.kimatkins.net - and follow the links. You can register your team or make a donation online. Individual walkers are required to raise a minimum of $300 each. Walkers on teams are required to collect between $200 and $300 depending upon the number of walkers on each team. Each registered walker receives a t-shirt and goodie bag. There will be prizes for individuals and teams, such as Most Money Raised by an Individual Walker/Team, Most Spirited Team, Most Determined Walker.

KCAF provides education about breast self-exams, funds breast screenings and mammograms if needed for women with limited financial resources, and offers support to those fighting breast cancer in partnership with the Rockdale and Newton Health Departments, Rockdale Medical Center and Newton Medical Center.
