The Georgia Veterans Memorial Park Foundation will host a Veterans Day program honoring late and current veterans next week. 

The event will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11 and take place at the stage area of the Walk of Heroes Memorial, which is located at Black Shoals Park, 3001 Black Shoals Rd., Conyers. 

The key note speaker at the event will be Captain John Warren. He served in the United States Marine Corps for four years, from 2004-2008 and. In 2006, he fought in the Battle of Ramadi, which was part of the Iraq War. 

Warren is now president and founder of Lima One Capital, a lending company for residential real estate investors.
