The Vampire Diaries will be filming scenes for the upcoming fifth season Wednesday and Thursday.

Production crews will be staging a car accident at the corner of Clark Street and Hendrix Street all day Wednesday and most of Thursday. There will also be a scene filming in the Covington square midday Thursday.

Clark Street will be closed between Monticello St. and Brown St. and Hendricks St. will be closed between Usher St. and Washington St. to vehicular traffic all day Wednesday and Thursday night.

Trucks and equipment will be staged on side streets throughout filming, and off duty Covington Police officers will be on site to assist with traffic.
