UDPATED: GNC store hit in armed robbery

Police are looking for a a young male suspect that held up the GNC store on Ga. Highway 20 near the intersection with Flat Shoals Road in an armed robbery on Wednesday around 1 p.m., according to Conyers Police Department Lt. Jackie Dunn.

The suspect was described as a black male, about 5-feet 11-inches tall, medium complexioned, wearing a knit cap and dressed in dark clothing including a dark winter-type jacket.

He came into the store while there were no customers, carrying a dark colored semiautomatic handgun.  The suspect put it to the lone employee's head, demanding money. The suspect then had the employee go into the backroom and fled the store on foot.

(March 30, 1:21 p.m.) The GNC nutritonal supplement store in Conyers was hit in an armed robbery today around 1 p.m.
