Fiesta Georgia, the second annual massive outdoor family festival celebrating Latino culture, music and food, will kick off Georgia’s celebrations for Hispanic Heritage Month on Sunday, Sept. 20, at the Georgia International Horse Park.
Organizers estimate up to 20,000 people will attend the free event, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
City of Conyers Mayor Randy Mills said "We are thrilled Fiesta Georgia will call the Georgia International Horse Park its home for this year’s event. The City of Conyers enthusiastically welcomes everyone to this wonderful festival of music, culture, food and fun celebrating Latino culture and kicking-off Hispanic Heritage Month festivities in Georgia."
Ralph E. Herrera, Lanza Group, LLC President explained that, "Last year’s inaugural Fiesta Georgia was so successful that we outgrew our initial venue in our very first year. We are fortunate to have discovered a great partner in the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers, a magnificent site with lots of room for Fiesta Georgia to grow. The Georgia International Horse Park’s terrific management and operations team are assisting us every step of the way as we prepare for this years bigger and better Fiesta Georgia at the site of the 1996 Olympic Games equestrian competition."
Fiesta Georgia activities include continuous live musical performances by national and local recording artists, sponsor displays with many free product samples, arts and crafts, dance and authentic food from many Latin-American countries.
