The Tale of Garrard's Cavalry Raid

Have you ever heard of Brig. General Kenner Garrard? Would you like to know the impact of his Civil War raid on Conyers Station on July 22, 1864?

For further information, join the Rockdale County Historical Society at the Depot in Olde Town Conyers on Wednesday, July 22, at 10 a.m.

The Rev. Jim Cabaniss, dressed in a Chaplain's uniform, will tell the story of Garrard's Cavalry Raid as it unfolded on July 22, 1864.

Cabaniss is a member of the Confederate Memorial Camp, Stone Mountain, Georgia, an ordained United Methodist Minister and author.

Lemonade, ham and biscuits, tea cakes like grandma made and other delicacies of that period will be enjoyed. Invite family and friends to share this time at the Depot in Olde Town Conyers, sponsored by the Rockdale County Historical Society.
