If you have an appetite for good food and good fun, come to Olde Town Conyers for the annual Taste of Conyers on Saturday, April 20, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

The Taste of Conyers features local restaurants offering small samples, or tastes, of their specialties for $1 per sample. One dollar tickets will be available for purchase in any quantity. Restaurants price their samples ranging from $1-$4 per sample.

The Taste of Conyers also features live entertainment and complimentary children's activities.

The Conyers Main Street Program has once again partnered with the Conyers Car Show, presented by Redline Events to offer event participants a look at vintage cars parked along Railroad Street while enjoying their sweet and savory treats from the Taste of Conyers. Live entertainment will be featured on the stage at the Conyers Depot on Railroad Street and includes the band Nostalgia at 11 a.m., Kristen Tinsley at 12 p.m., Jordan Rager at 1 p.m. and Vintage Boogie Band at 2 p.m.

New to the Taste of Conyers this year is the Boy Scout Zone located in the Olde Town Pavilion offering a variety of scouting activities that children can participate in for free including wooden boat races, wooden car races, knot lessons, pictures with a real teepee and Eagle Scouts, campsite meals prepared on-site and more. The Boy Scout Zone is sponsored by the Boy Scouts of America's Yellow River District Atlanta Area Council.

"Between the Conyers Car Show and the new Boy Scout Zone added to the event this year, we feel this really enhances the visitor's experience to Olde Town Conyers," said Main Street Manager Monica Coffin. "Each time we produce an event we want the visitor to walk away with a new and fresh impression of Olde Town, the talent we have here and the variety of activities, shopping and dining options that are available for citizens to enjoy."

There is no fee for restaurants to participate in the Taste of Conyers. For more information on the event or for restaurants to register to participate, contact Monica Coffin at the Conyers Welcome Center at 770-602-2606 or visit www.conyersmainstreet.com.
