The public is invited to the Rockdale County Public Schools Superintendent's community forum on Monday, Sept. 20, 6 p.m. at the Rockdale Career Academy.
Superintendent Dr. Samuel King will be giving "state of the system" address, followed by a round table discussion and question and answer period with the superintendent and the school department heads and school cabinet members. The forum is for middle and high school students, parents, staff and community members.
"We hold these forums each year to provide stakeholders with an additional form of communication to learn about the school system and engage in meaningful dialogue about a variety of topics," said King. "We have modified the format over the past five years to give attendees immediate feedback on some of their questions, which has been very well received. Our principals and directors also help facilitate discussions and keep the group focused."
