Feeling lucky? Time to dust off the dice and try your hand with Lady Luck as the Barksdale Boys and Girls Club annual Super Saturday Night returns with a Casino Night fundraiser on June 2 at the Georgia International Horse Park.

The Carriage House of the Horse Park will be transformed with casino tables, professional dealers, gaming tables and stacks of chips for an evening of fun and excitement - all for a good cause.

The annual fundraiser is one of the biggest for the A.R. "Gus" Barksdale Boys and Girls Club, which runs programs and activities to help youth thrive in college, work and life, said board member Louise Blackman.

"The programs offered at the club advance kids’ minds, character, and health and leadership skills so they may thrive as adults," Blackman explained. "The programs focus on three areas – Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles and Character & Leadership Development – and the staff make it fun, interactive and memorable for the youth.

"The staff teach the youth that hope and opportunity exists for each of them; if they are willing to invest and learn, then the club staff is here to help them be successful in their future."

Accordng to a survey of club alumni, 57 percent going to the club saved their life.

Tickets are $35 each and can be purchased from any club board member or at the club. Sponsorship opportunties range from $500 to $7,500.
