On Thursday, community leaders, resident and the "who's who" of Conyers and Rockdale gathered in the evening at the Georgia International Horse Park to hear about the state of the city of Conyers.
Most went away pleased because after reports from the Mayor and council; it was clear the ship of the city is riding high despite the turbulent economic river we are floating on at this time.
Mayor Randy Mills said that the city is poised to continue to show positive growth in the future.
Considering that many of our neighboring cities and counties are struggling with a bottom line that will not support even their own services, Conyers is on solid rock.
The Mayor and Council also praised the police department, led by Chief David Cathcart, and the employees of the city.
There is a certain can do spirit that exists with the leadership and people of Conyers, and it was more than evident Thursday.
