Davis Middle School recently installed a new piece art work in the front foyer capturing the patriotic spirit of the school’s namesake, General Ray Davis, and mascot, the Golden Eagles.
Principal Mike Mauriello suggested the idea to artist Chris Moore, who had completed a similar mural in another school at a neighboring county. “I knew I wanted patriotism to be a prominent part of the display,” said Mauriello. “Chris and I discussed ideas, and the outcome is what is now on display. We decided on a full golden eagle to represent our mascot, as well as all that is pure and good in our school. I could not be more thrilled with the mural. I invite everyone to come by and see this wonderful display of pride in our school and our country.” To find out more about the artist, visit www.mooreart.com.”
