IN BRIEF: A man and a woman were taken to the hospital after a single-vehicle accident sent their car crashing through the woods on Iris Drive, near Longhorn's Steakhouse.

The car was reportedly traveling east on Iris Drive shortly before 3 p.m. when it swerved and drove into the woods, behind the guardrail, narrowly missing a telephone pole. The car ended up in a creek.

The male and female, described as a middle-aged to older black male and black female, were taken to Atlanta Medical Center. Their status is unknown at the time.
