Auld lang syne: The Board of Education held a farewell reception on Dec. 16 for member Jeff Dugan, middle, whose term expires this year, after 16 years on the Rockdale County Public Schools BOE. Dugan was joined by board members present and past, including Brad Smith, Chairman Wales Barksdale, Jean Yontz, Katrina Young, Tony Wilson, and Travis Collins. Dugan was also joined by his family, wife Pamm and daughters Katie, 20, and Amanda, 24, both RCMSST grads. Dugan's seat was won in a runoff election earlier this year by former Salem Athletic Director Jim McBrayer.
