In the battle for Rockdale County supremacy, the Rockdale Bulldogs visited the Salem Seminoles to fight for the Rockdale Cup Crown. After coming off a win against the Heritage Patriots, the Bulldogs were set to win the Rockdale cup after one more victory.
Rockdale gave full effort, but their efforts were in vain. The Seminoles held the Bulldogs from scoring throughout the entire first half of the game. Meanwhile Salem was able to score two touchdowns, off of two impressive drives.
Throughout the entire game the Seminole defense held the Bulldogs from using the running game effectively, and putting the ball in the air didn't see much success either. In the second half of the game, Rockdale scored its first and only touchdown of the game, and failed to convert the extra point.
As the game carried on, hostility began to reach a boiling point. Small scuffles between two players occasionally, later became a full out team vs team brawl. The entire sidelines of both teams emptied onto the field. After the game, both head coaches agreed that the behavior of both teams were unacceptable. The game finished with Salem beating Rockdale 29-6.
