The streets were lined with green as more than 1,500 residents turned out for the annual World's Fastest Growing St. Patrick's Day Parade and the World's Shortest Endurance Run on Thursday afternoon.
Warm, clear weather and an early release school day enticed families to see the festivities, and many spectators ended up joining the two block parade from Evan's Pharmacy to the Olde Town Pavillion.
After the crowing of the parade king and queen, and a couple, Tim and Beverly Johnson, renewed their vows in kilts, the second annual World's Shortest Endurance Run proceeded with more than 200 registered participants. Last year's winner, Jorge Flores, defended his title this year in the 0.1 mile race from the Depot to the Pointe bar.
Here are a few scenes of the festivities.
