The Rotary Club of Rockdale recently presented a donation of $3,000 to Project ReNeWal at a recent Rotary Club meeting. Project ReNeWal, a domestic violence intervention program that serves Rockdale, Newton and Walton counties, has been deeply affected by the economic recession, like many non-profits, said Stevenson. Normally, the organization depends on community contributions for about 25 percent of its funds, but with county and city governments scaling back the amount they can give, about 75 percent of ReNeWal's funding depends on community donations.
