The Rockdale Republican Party recently held a County Convention to choose its executive board members, precinct chairman, and delegates for the Third and Fourth District in April and state convention in May.

The following members were chosen to the executive board: Chairman Don Williamson, First Vice Chairman Jonny Brown, Second Vice Chairman Mary McCane, Events Vice Chairman Russell Tonning, Fundraising Vice Chairman Rodney Upton, Treasurer David Cooper, Secretary Carlton Thomas, Assistant Treasurer Hilda Westmoreland, Assistant Secretary Lyn Williamson.

Their terms will last until March 2013.

At the county convention, there were representatives and precinct chairmen from each of the 18 precincts in Rockdale. Williamson attributed the representation to Second Vice Chairman Mary McCane, who oversees the local precincts.

Tax Commissioner Dan Ray was the guest speaker at the Saturday meeting.
