Rockdale County Sheriff's Office deputies are investigating the fatal shooting of a 30-year-old Conyers man.

Deputies were called out to the Brandon Glen apartment complex off Sigman Road because of shots being fired around 4 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to a report. They found Stewart Elvin Tabb, Jr. lying face down in the grass with gunshot wounds and called emergency medical personnel. The victim was taken to Rockdale Medical Center where he later died of his wounds, according to RCSO spokesperson Jodi Shupe.
