Rockdale celebrates Drinking Water Week

Rockdale Water Resources (RWR) will celebrate Drinking Water Week, May 5-9, in partnership with the American Water Works Association, to educate the public about the critical role water plays in the daily lives of citizens.

"Drinking Water Week is an opportunity for water professionals, environmental champions and citizens to join together to preserve our precious water supplies and systems to guarantee safe drinking water is available for future generations of citizens," Rockdale Water Resources Director Dwight Wicks said.

RWR begins its official celebration of Drinking Water Week by hosting a public information table May 5-9 at the County Administration & Services Building, 958 Milstead Ave., Conyers, 30012. The information table is designed to educate citizens about how water works and share helpful tips that empower residents to use water wisely.

RWR will round out Drinking Water Week with a customer appreciation drop-in event on Fri., May 9 in the lobby of RWR's Customer Service Office at the County Administration & Services Building. RWR customers and the public are invited to drop by at their convenience from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
