Grab your 10 gallon hats and put on your cowboy boots for a stompin’ good time at Rockdale Cares’ country-themed 32nd annual fundraising gala on Saturday, August 10, 6:30 p.m.
This year’s “Country Evening” benefit takes place at Rockdale Cares’ Our Place facility at 75 Davis Dr. SE, Conyers, and will feature live music from the band Hooch Holler.
In addition, there will be a silent auction and a raffle for two extravagant prizes – such as a Big Green Egg and a 5-foot table.
Tickets are $35 each. RSVP by July 26.
The annual gala is one of the biggest fundraisers for Rockdale Cares, which provides support and guidance for the developmentally challenged. They also operate the Haven House respite home, which gives caretakers a break on the weekend or holidays by providing a safe place for their developmentally challenged loved ones to stay.
They also strive to increase awareness about their needs by participating in community events such as the Conyers Christmas Parade.
Last year’s theme was a Hawaiian Luau attended by more than 150 people.
Barbara Kilpatrick, Executive Director of Rockdale Cares, said, “The decorations were absolutely gorgeous and the whole thing was fun.”
All proceeds will go to Rockdale Cares and Haven House. For more information, visit www.rockdalecares.org or call 770-922-7272.
