Mr. Robert Lee Stewart, Jr., 81, of Decatur, died Saturday, May 25.
He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Lee Stewart and parents, Robert and Avery Stewart, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Irma "Beth" Stewart, Decatur; son, Michael Stewart, Loganville; daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila McCormack, Lilburn, Robin and Robert Johnson, Covington, Michele and Lee Lucas, Gainesville; grandchildren, Justin and Ashleigh McCormack, Megan McCormack, Ashlynn Brown, Cameron Lucas, Kaylee Grace Lucas; great-grandchild, Sawyer McCormack; brother and sister-in-law, David M. and Jean Stewart; and several nephews.
Mr. Stewart was a veteran of the United States Army for 16 years serving in Vietnam. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Award, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Marksman Badge, and the Mechanics Badge. He was a member of the Yaarab Temple, South Fulton Shrine Club and the Panthersville Lodge.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 1, at 3 p.m. with Donald Trippe officiating; interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens, 699 American Legion Rd., Conyers, GA 30012. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
