IN BRIEF: Rockdale Medical Center held the grand opening on Thursday of its new $8 million Outpatient Imaging Center, which houses outpatient services such as digital mammography, radiology, ultrasounds, laboratory services as well as the hyperbaric and Wound Healing Center for fast access to services. The center also features a brand new 64-slice CT scanner, Optima MRI scanner, and a stereotactic-guided breast biopsy equipment. "It's an opportunity for us to serve our patients in a faster paced environment. Everybody's time is extremely valuable. This allows patients to not have to wait behind an emergency room patient, or in patient," said RMC CEO Deborah Armstrong.
