Mr. Raymond L. (Butch) Phillips, age 90 of Covington, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Phillips. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Harry and Dollie Phillips, Conyers, Joseph Raymond and Linda Phillips, Hampton, William Francis and Linda T. Phillips, Hoschton; half-brothers, Walter Bloodworth, New Mexico, Lavoe Bloodworth, Virginia; grandchildren, Scott Phillips, Katherine Fink, Joey Phillips, Jennifer Powers, Drew Phillips, Craig Phillips; step-grandchildren, Scott Allen, Greg Allen, Deborah Dean. Mr. Phillips retired as vice president of SunTrust Bank after 47 years of service. He was a member of Heritage Hills Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II. Graveside services will be held Friday, June 3, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Milner Baptist Church Cemetery, Milner, GA with Rev. Thomas Broadhead and Rev. Scott Frazier officiating.
