Public health clinic open Saturday to give H1N1 vaccines

The East Metro Health District will open their five health department clinics on Saturday, Oct. 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and offer the H1N1 Influenza vaccine. Volunteers with the Rockdale County Public Schools will also be assisting with administrative tasks. No appointment is necessary. The primary focus at this time is healthy children age 2 to 4 years old, the H1N1 nasal spray vaccine can be used by healthy people 2 to 49 years of age, and non-pregnant women.
