The Phoenix Pass non-profit organization will kick off the first ever community-wide concert, Sunday, October 20, to raise funds for homeless women and children in our area. The outdoor concert will feature an unprecedented gathering of area church praise teams/bands lifting up some of the best voices and musicians in the county in song and worship.
This community-wide event, "Phoenix Pass Praise in the Park" is open to the public and tickets will be available at the entrance to the event for $10 per person age 12 and over or a maximum of $20 per family. The event will be held on the Pheonix Pass campus at Light House Village at 541Sigman Road in Conyers, Georgia. The event will feature music, face painting, concessions and more. All proceeds will go directly to Phoenix Pass to both continue their services and to help launch a campaign to add some new apartments and services for those in need in our community.
The Phoenix Pass transitional program for homeless women and children, which started two years ago, is debt-free as a result of churches, builders, plumbers, furniture and appliance stores, private grants, and countless volunteers, coming together to raise and equip the beautiful buildings. Each of the women is required to participate in classroom studies on financial management, job seeking, and other life skills. They also seek jobs and are required to save a substantial portion of their funds in order to become self-sufficient. The testimonies of the women and children that have been provided assistance by Phoenix Pass are numerable. Right now, 100 percent of the women have jobs and the children are excelling in a safe environment for families.
If you are a company that would like to sponsor this event, or a church-sponsored praise team/band that would like to perform, please contact Phoenix Pass at www.phoenixpass.org.
