Conyers Police are looking for the suspect that attempted to rob the Chevron Food Mart on Sigman Road on Monday.

Shortly after 7 p.m. on Nov. 16, a young black male entered the store, just as an employee was walking out, and brandished a semi-automatic pistol in his hand. The employee ran across the street and called 911.

Video surveillance showed the suspect walked around the counter and tried to open the cash register. He was not able to open it, and he fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white patch on the front left bottom, black sock hat, dark bandana covering his face below his eyes, baggy blue jeans with fade marks on the front and back, and black shoes.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact Detective Ken Swift at 770-929-4204 or ken.swift@conyersga.gov.

The department is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest.
