Hundreds of volunteers turned out bright and early Saturday morning at 23 project sites across the county for the first ever Hands Across Rockdale day of service. Projects ranged from creating community gardens at Rockdale Career Academy and the senior center to clearing trails, picking up trash, collecting pet supplies, painting at schools, sprucing up neighborhoods, and cleaning senior citizens' yards.
