Pastors come together for National Day of Prayer

Churches and fellowships across the nation spent time in prayer on Thursday, May 1, as part of a grassroots campaign to pray for the country's institutions.

Rockdale Baptist Church hosted an eccumenical "One Voice United In Prayer" service. Pastors from Heritage Hills Baptist, Springfield Baptist, The Father's House, Conyers Presbyterian, Trinity Baptist, and representatives from the Rockdale Coalition for Children and Families, Smyrna Presbyterian, and Rockdale County joined together to pray for the nation's government and government leaders, churches, military, nation, families, education systems and educators, media, businesses and more. 

Musical selections were peformed by Victor Hurst, Vice President of Operations for Snapping Shoals EMC, Debbie Hogg of the East Gate Regional Network, organist Martha Hyde and pianist Karen Tanner. 

Conyers First United Methodist also held a National Day of Prayer event, with featured speaker Darrell Huckaby.
