Our Thoughts: Voting

In 10 days, we will have the opportunity to vote in a primary that in many cases will provide candidates to represent us for the next two years.

This primary, which will be held on July 31, is as important to Rockdale County as any full election, as far as we are concerned.

Rockdale County is by all reports on the verge of some great awakenings as far as business goes.

It is so very important that we have people in elected offices in school and county government who represent us with intelligence and some good common sense.

This is not the time to stumble because you did not take the time to read about each candidate or listen to what they have been saying.

We urge you not to vote for a person because of a special name or ethnicity only.

We also urge you to get out of that easy chair and vote; there is early voting going on right now if you can’t vote on July 31.

We have a beautiful and progressive county; all of us can by our vote place people in positions that can set up our county to be the shining example of what positive thinking and actions can do.

Vote on July 31. But before you go, take some time to get informed.
