We are more than pleased to see that our own Dr. Samuel King has been named Superintendent of the year for 2011.

King not only has been a good administrator but he is an excellent role model for all residents of Rockdale County to emulate.

King has helped put the pride and achievement back into the education system of Rockdale County and helped steer the system through changing demographics and these economic times.

Congratulations, Dr. King, and congratulations to the Rockdale County Public School System for having another reason to boast.
