One of the class acts for sure in our community is the Rockdale/Conyers Chamber of Commerce led by Fred Boscarino and his great staff.

This past week the gavel of leadership was passed from Mo Talley to Lorraine Harrison.

Both are positive forces in our community.

The chamber also honored Ethel Boyle with the A.R. Barksdale Lifetime achievement Award, Jean Yontz was named the recipient of the Community spirit ward, Ron Simpson was honored with United Way stepping up to the Plate award. Rockdale Medical Center was named education partner of the year, Brandi Wells named the James P. Culpepper Volunteer of the Year winner, and the Walk of Hero's Veterans War Memorial was the clear cut winner of the Anne Waldrop Community appearance award.

These entire fine folks were deserving of their honor and everyone of them as a team help make our community a great place to work and raise a family.
