Giving aid: To kick off the One Hundredth Day of School and celebrate Black History Month with the theme “Culture for Service,” kindergarten students at C.J. Hicks Elementary sponsored One Hundred Bags of Kindness. From Jan. 26 – Feb. 25 each grade level donated travel sized toiletries to make hospitality bags for the families that have to reside in the Atlanta-area Ronald McDonald House Charities home due to a child being hurt in an accident or with an acute illness. Kindergarten students then collected and assembled the bags for distribution. (Pictured) Kindergarteners Emile Delvalle-Casanas, Faith Brown, Kandice Burrell, Kayla Milner, Gabriela Aguilar, Lindsey Michel, and Nyiah Reyes work to assemble hospitality bags.
