Olde Town Bike Ride

Bicyclists of every level meet every fourth Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Conyers Welcome Center in Olde Town for a leisurely 45-minute, 4-mile bike ride for children and adults through Olde Town Conyers. The ride starts at Conyers Depot/Welcome Center and ends at the Whistle Post Tavern. Free ice cream or drinks follow. The event is sponsored by the Conyers Main Street Foundation Inc., Covington-Conyers Cycling Club, Olde Town Neighborhood Association and Conte's Bicycles.

Also of interest to bicyclists is the upcoming Metric Century Ride as part of the Pave the Path event on Saturday, May 30, from 10 a.m. The course, which consists of two hilly loops, stops at the Welcome Center in Olde Town. Cyclists can choose between a 29-mile, 35-mile and 64-mile course, with one rest stop. Preregistration before May 23 is $30 per person or $60 per family of four or more.
