Rockdale County Sheriff's Office deputies are on the lookout for an armed suspect that robbed a gas station in north Rockdale early Wednesday.

The suspect entered the Pleasant Hill Food Mart around 6:18 a.m. and robbed the store clerk at gunpoint. The suspect was armed with a handgun and threw the store clerk to the ground during the robbery. The suspect then fled in an unknown vehicle.

The suspect is described is a black male wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with a black t-shirt over it, camouflage pants and black shoes.
