Rockdale was spared the brunt of deadly storms and tornadoes that slammed into Georgia and much of the South last night.

There were no storm-related injuries or fatalities reported in the county, according Rockdale County Emergency Services Coordinator Capt. Myra Pearrell.

There were trees reported down in the Mt. Zion/Almand Road area, which were cleared this morning.
