UPDATE: West Newton Elementary School buses resumed taking students home after Newton County Sheriff's Office deputies declared the area all-clear.

NCSO was on the scene at the Ellington communities serving a warrant at a house near West Newton Elementary School. According to NCSO Sgt. Cortney Morrison, the target of the warrant was not home, but an arrest was made on another person on scene who had an outstanding warrant.
