Starting September 24, The Rockdale News opens an exciting new chapter in community journalism. The award-winning community paper is adding another edition to its weekly coverage – an interactive digital edition. At the same time, it is also unveiling a new app for iPhone, Android and Windows phones.

“We are proud to be able to increase our news coverage by the use of this new, innovative digital paper and app,” said The News’ Publisher T. Pat Cavanaugh.

“It is the first for our company and was made possible by our staff, who developed the concept of this new paper. I am proud of their efforts.”

Cavanaugh continued, “We are proud to be an active neighbor in the Rockdale community and are even prouder to be a part of the future of community newspapering.”

The new edition will come out on Wednesday afternoons directly to 12,000 local residents’ inboxes.

This digital edition comes to life under your fingertips, featuring interactive info-graphics, video, real-time social media feedback and more. This is news you can reach out and touch, swipe, click and share. Browse it at your leisure, on your tablet, phone or desktop.
