Bank of North Georgia announced the promotion of Rob Garcia, Executive Vice President and Commercial Real Estate Manager, to President and Chief Operating Officer.

Garcia has 26 years of commercial banking experience with a concentration in commercial real estate and commercial and industrial lending. Previously, he served as Regional Community Executive with responsibility for growing deposits and loans in the Cobb and Buckhead region and overseeing the operations of the six branches. He joined BNG in 2006 as a result of the merger with Riverside Bank where he was Executive Vice President and Senior Lending Officer.
Garcia is a graduate of Auburn University, currently serving a second consecutive term as Chairman of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, and is a Board Member of the Atlanta Regional Commission, Cobb County Board of Elections, and Council for Quality Growth. He lives in Marietta with his wife, Teena. They have two children, Elizabeth and Obert.
