National School Lunch Week 2009 was held from Oct. 12-16. At schools across the country — and across all of Rockdale County — "All Star School Lunches" were held to instruct students not only about eating well, but also about staying active and enjoying a healthy lifestyle. Special guest servers, including Superintendent Dr. Samuel King, the school board cabinet, and local officials, came schools throughout the county to help serve lunch on Oct. 16.
