If you're looking for a way to unwind at the end of the week, Olde Town Conyers may be the place to be. The Mixed Nuts Comedy Network debuts in Conyers this Saturday, Oct. 8, at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., bringing laughter and talent to the Depot stage.

Comedians and native Georgians Emmett Furrow, Dan Weeks and Brad Binkley will headline the inaugural show of the newly formed comedy network. The evening's emcee will be local Gary Bridgewater.

Mixed Nuts is the brainchild of Mike Rhinehart, Cari Trueblood and Tim Sexton, who call themselves “The Comedy Czars of Olde Town Conyers.” Finding themselves looking for something fun to do after hitting all the great spots in Olde Town Conyers, the three friends decided to create something new for the town.

“We are on a mission . . . to make you laugh,” said Sexton, who previously produced for a comedy radio show in New Jersey. Trueblood also has experience working in the comedy industry during the mid 1980’s.

Patrons of Mixed Nuts can look forward to three comedy acts, good wine, cold beer and even something to munch on.

The network's inaugural comedy shows will be at the Depot of Conyers on Railroad Street, Saturday, Oct. 8. First show begins at 7:30 p.m. with seating beginning at 7 p.m. The second show will begins at 9:30 p.m. with seating beginning at 9:15 p.m.

Tickets are $7 online in advance and $9 at the door. A table for eight people is $60. A $1 fee per ticket is charged for online purchases.
