Rockdale and Conyers law enforcement community paused for a moment today to commemorate Rockdale County Sheriff's Office Investigator Brian Mahaffey, who was killed nearly one year ago in the line of duty, and to unveil his name on a traveling memorial wall for fallen officers.

The wall, sponsored by the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, is part of the Fallen Heroes Memorial Tour, which stops in the home communities of the fallen officers and other locations across the state.

This year, the names of the 10 officers, deputies, and troopers killed in the line of duty in  Georgia was added to the wall.

There are 623 names on the wall of officers killed in Georgia since 1852.
