Mrs. Martha V. McKinney, age 68 of Conyers, died Monday, October 4, 2010. She is survived by her husband, Alfred L. McKinney, Conyers; daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Mark Kirkpatrick, Conyers, Donna and Michael Cooke, Woodstock; grandchildren, Kevin Kirkpatrick, Katie Kirkpatrick, Kyle Cooke, Kaitlin Cooke; sister, Patricia Thomason, Hartwell; brothers, Paul Vickery, Elberton, Jimmy Vickery, Dewey Rose; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. McKinney was a member of Conyers First United Methodist Church and retired from Rockdale County Board of Education. She was an avid gardener and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 8, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Scot Ward's Harry White Chapel with Wolfgang Heid and Joe Melear officiating; interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens.
