COVINGTON - Larry LaFornace Mann, of Tampa, was arrested in the shooting of a 35-year-old female at an address off Flat Rock Road Wednesday evening.

Newton County deputies responded to a call of a person shot on Flat Rock Road around 5:30 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies located the woman, who was grazed in the head by a bullet, according to an NCSO press release. She was transported to a local area hospital for treatment and later released.

According to the release, Mann and the victim were at their parent's residence when he retrived a pistol and shot his sister.

Mann, 38, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
