A Conyers man reported being robbed at gunpoint late Monday night while he walked home from work.

The 44-year-old man told police the unknown suspect crept up behind him while he was walking in the 1700 block of Big Horn Court at approximately 10:47 p.m. The man stated he heard footsteps behind him and said when he turned around the suspect pulled out a small, black handgun from his front right pocket.

The victim gave the suspect his black leather wallet worth $25. The suspect then ran down Big Horn Court towards Hunting Creek Drive.

According to the City of Conyers Police report, two officers surveyed the area but were unable to find anything related to the incident. A K-9 called to the scene had a positive track on the suspect but lost it at the intersection of Hunting Creek Drive and Bob White Lane.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late twenties. He was wearing black pants, a black short-sleeve shirt and had close cropped hair.

The nervous victim said he was focused on the gun but couldn't give any details on whether it was revolver or a semi-automatic handgun. He was unable to give a height or weight description of the suspect as well.
