Election day is finally here and polls are open. The News visited a few local polling stations and asked voters who they chose.
St. Pius Precinct Manager Jerry Weatherby said that 65 percent of this precinct had already voted before today. There were only 673 of the 1,950 registered voters in that precinct left to vote today. As of 4:45 p.m., 269 more of voters in the St. Pius precinct had voted, leaving only 404 more.
"This is the highest percentage I have seen in my 14 years of working at the polls," said Weatherby.
