CONYERS - A man was found dead in his truck Monday night after an alleged verbal altercation, according to the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO).

The RCSO has identified the victim as Lee Marvin Hardeman of McDonough, Georgia. The 48-year-old was found in his truck on Rockmont Circle, which is off of Johnson Road, after deputies responded to an incident that involved shots being fired at approximately 7:45 p.m. 

According to the RCSO, witnesses told deputies Hardeman was involved in a verbal argument and, as he was driving away in his truck, someone fired multiple shots at the vehicle and fatally struck Hardeman. 

Hardeman was pronounced dead at the scene.
