Magnet student wins silver in world science fair

Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology student Vander Harris won a silver medal at the 19th annual International Environmental Project Olympiad (INEPO) – held in Turkey this May. Harris competed against the best and brightest students from around the globe. His award winning project is titled "Effect of Biological Control Agents on the Growth of Phytopathogens."

The best and brightest students, age 13-19, from around the globe have competed since 1993 at the Olympiad, which is a world science fair that challenges students to come up with solutions to protecting the environment.
