I’m one of those people that think if you don’t see some production of The Nutcracker during the holiday season, then you’re doing things wrong. But if the traditional ballet isn’t really your cup of tea, this might be. The Urban Nutcracker takes place on Sweet Auburn Avenue in the 1940s and has fantastic sounding characters like the Reggae Ragdolls, Mother Spice and her Spice Drops, and Brown Sugar and her Chocolatier. I’ve never been to this production, but I’m going to do my very best to check it out this year, who wants to be my date?
